Gangsta's Paradise rapper Coolio said he listens to Dublin rap duo Versatile, and the pair cannot cope.

Coolio said ahead of his gig in Leopardstown Racecourse next Thursday, June 13, that he would love to work with the rappers.

"There's some great Irish rap going on at the moment too. I love Versatile, and how they keep the accent. Their lyrics sound hot as hell and original because they keep the accent," he said.

And the Dublin lads freaked out on Twitter, writing, "This is f**king Coolio talking about Versatile.

"This is f**king unbelievable."

Versatile are two lads (Cas Walsh and Eskimo Supreme) from Dublin who have been making waves across the Irish music scene and have been packing out tents at festivals for a while now.

The video for their 2018 single Ketamine currently has over 3 million views on YouTube.
