David Attenborough Is Making A New BBC Nature Documentary Series

Kiara Keane

Great news for David Attenborough fans because the broadcaster has announced he’s working on another new documentary series.

One Planet, Seven Worlds is part of the BBC’s latest effort to put a spotlight on the environment with their slogan ‘Protecting Our Planet’.

The Guardian reports that the new show will explore “how the continents shaped their unique animal life”.

Episodes will include Meat: A Threat To Planet Earth, looking at the impact that eating meat has on the environment, Population with Chris Packham, which will focus on the effects of mankind’s ever increasing numbers, and The Springwatch Year of Action, all about the threat to British wildlife.

The BBC series will air some time in the autumn, though no official dates have been announced just yet.

But don’t worry if that seems like absolutely ages away – Attenborough is also releasing a new eight-part series on Netflix in April.

Titled Our Planet, it has been four years in the making in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund and will premiere on April 5.

Over 600 members of crew worked on the huge project which will look at diverse habitats around the world, from the Arctic to the jungles of South America.
