Let’s play a word association game…
Name a hilariously funny Irish comedy series…
Got one? Up until this year, we would have expected you to automatically respond with Father Ted but such is the success of of Derry Girls and The Young Offenders, the Craggy Island gang may have some competition on their hands.
The 2018 IFTA Awards nominations were announced today and both fledgling shows have been shortlisted for best comedy alongside Bridget And Eamon and Mrs. Brown’s Boys. We’re not ones to influence voting but if it were up to us the 90s Derry teens or the two Cork scallywags would be taking home the prize.
