There’s A Massive Drive-In Movie Event Happening In The West Of Ireland This Month

The days are getting longer, the nights are getting shorter, and it seems that the weather is just ever so slightly starting to pick up.

With that said, it’s clear summer is most definitely on its way (thank the Lord), so it’s time to get out there and do some more outdoorsy things.

And for anyone who wants to swap the usual hungover Sunday cinema date in a dark theatre for a cool, classic American drive-through experience, there’s a special outdoor drive-in movie event happening in a couple of weeks.

Retro Drive-in Movies are bringing the big-screen to Shannon in Co. Clare for two days, and to be honest, it sounds like one you don’t want to miss.

Running from Saturday 21 April and Sunday 22 April, the drive-in will be showing an array of absolute classics from Dirty Dancing and E.T. to Jaws and Back to the Future.

The screenings will be held in the first carpark of Shannon Airport, and you’ll be able to tune the movie’s sound onto your radio, so there’s no need to panic if you’re not right up the very front.
