The weather is miserable so your only option is plonk yourself in front of the telly with a good flick this evening.
Of course, you could check our list of new Netflix additions this weekend but if none of that tickles your fancy, there’s always the old reliable telly box.
There’s a decent mix of action, comedy and romance tonight and you can take your pick from the following…
Murder on the Orient Express – Channel 4 – 8pm
A 2017 adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic detective novel of the same name. A stellar ensemble cast features Kenneth Branagh (who also directs), Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench and Johnny Depp.
Doctor Strange – RTE 2 – 9pm
A 2016 Marvel production which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous neurosurgeon.
The Inbetweeners 2 – E4 – 9pm
It’s a miserable day out there, so allow the hapless foursome to cheer you up with their misadventures Down Under.
In the Line of Fire – ITV 4 – 9pm
Clint Eastwood stars in this political thriller about a disillusioned CIA agent who plans to assassinate the President.
Runaway Bride – Comedy Central – 9pm
A classic light-hearted romcom which features romcom royalty in Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. Perfect with a cup of hot chocolate and some popcorn.
Kick-Ass- SyFy – 9pm
A 2010 superhero movie which drew attention for some coarse language used by 12-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz.
The Fugitive – TCM – 9pm
One of the most memorable thrillers of the 1990s, this was nominated for Best Picture at the 1994 Academy Awards.
Demolition Man – TCM – 11.40pm
If you’re still up after The Fugitive and fancy some more action, you won’t even have to change the channel.
