Commando – FilmFour – 9pm

A retired Special Forces colonel (Arnie) tries to save his daughter (Alyssa Milano), who was abducted by his former subordinate.

The Elephant Man – BBC Four – 9pm

A Victorian surgeon (Anthony Hopkins) rescues a heavily disfigured man (John Hurt) who is mistreated while scraping a living as a side-show freak. Behind his monstrous façade, there is revealed a person of kindness, intelligence and sophistication.

Cliffhanger – ITV4 – 9pm

A botched mid-air heist results in suitcases full of cash being searched for by various groups throughout the Rocky Mountains. Stars Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, and Michael Rooker.

Charlie’s Angels – Comedy Central – 9pm

Three women (Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu), detectives with a mysterious boss, retrieve stolen voice-ID software, using martial arts, tech skills, and sex appeal.

The Nutty Professor – Sky One – 10.30pm

Overweight, good-hearted professor Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy) takes a special chemical that turns him into the slim, obnoxious Buddy Love.

Overlord – FilmFour – 10.50pm

A small group of American soldiers find horror behind enemy lines on the eve of D-Day. Cast includes Wyatt Russell, the new (bad) Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Avengers Assemble – BBC One – 11.45pm

Earth’s mightiest heroes must come together and learn to fight as a team if they are going to stop the mischievous Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his alien army from enslaving humanity.

The Raid 2 – FilmFour – 1am

Only a short time after the first raid, Rama (Iko Uwais) goes undercover with the thugs of Jakarta and plans to bring down the syndicate and uncover the corruption within his police force.
