Netflix has brought us crime drama documentary greats, such as Making A Murderer and Casting JonBenet, and the latest offering from the streaming giant has everyone already 100% addicted.
The Confession Tapes is a new true crime series which looks at court cases where the prosecution has won a conviction based on confessional tapes, which the suspects claim to this day were coerced.
With cases including tough topics to watch such as children who have murdered their parents, The Confession Tapes examines how people who insist they are innocent can then confess to committing a crime after hours and hours of questioning, with some methods far from orthodox.
For anyone who’s ever though “why would anyone confess to something they didn’t do?”, this crime doc is for you…
And naturally, people are already obsessing over the programme, with many a weekend lost to binging on it…
Well I’ve lost my Sunday to #TheConfessionTapes on @NetflixUK and I ain’t even mad about it
