Wifi technology was a great leap forward but it does feel slightly annoying at times to have passwords, join networks and connect in places you have never been to before. One new project called Keewifi is aiming to change the game with an entirely new take on the problem. It uses proximity technology meaning you simply have to hold your device close to the router and you’ll be connected. This solves the problem of pesky neighbours stealing all your bandwidth if you leave your network open. Where I see the biggest use of this is in cafes, hotels and restaurants. Have this beside the payment station and allow customers to tap their phone to it when paying instead of having to look for those annoying passwords. Super smart and can see this taking off big time. Love the design too. Very Apple like.
