The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen – FilmFour – 6.50pm
In an alternate Victorian Age world, a group of famous contemporary fantasy, science fiction, and adventure characters team up on a secret mission. Stars Sean Connery, Pita Wilson, and Stuart Townsend.
Raiders of the Lost Ark – FilmFour – 9pm
In 1936, archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is hired by the U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before Adolf Hitler’s Nazis can obtain its awesome powers.
Boyhood – TG4 – 9.30pm
The life of Mason, from early childhood to his arrival at college. Filmed over 13 years, starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette.
Battleship – Sky One – 10pm
A fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals. Stars Liam Neeson, Rihanna, and Taylor Kitsch.
Balls of Fury – Comedy Central – 11.20pm
Down-and-out former professional ping-pong phenom, Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler), is sucked into a maelstrom when FBI Agent Ernie Rodriguez (George Lopez) recruits him for a secret mission. Randy is determined to bounce back and win, and to smoke out his father’s killer – arch-fiend Feng (Christopher Walken).
