We’ve nearly reached the weekend, but before then, we’ve got some movies for you to check out for your Thursday night in…

Hellboy – ITV4 – 9pm

A demon (Ron Perlman), raised from infancy after being conjured by and rescued from the Nazis, grows up to become a defender against the forces of darkness.

Monsters and Men – FilmFour – 9pm

The aftermath of a police killing of a black man, told through the eyes of the bystander who filmed the act, an African-American police officer (John David Washington) and a high-school baseball phenom (Anthony Ramos) inspired to take a stand.

The Heroes of Telemark – BBC Four – 10.15pm

Norwegian resistance tries to stop German efforts to produce an atomic bomb component during World War II. Stars Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine – FilmFour – 10.55pm

The early years of James Logan (Hugh Jackman), featuring his rivalry with his brother Victor Creed (Liev Schrieber), his service in the special forces team Weapon X, and his experimentation into the metal-lined mutant Wolverine.

Ransom – ITV4 – 11.25pm

Multi-millionaire Tom Mullen’s (Mel Gibson) son is kidnapped, but after initially agreeing to pay the ransom Mullen then decides to use the ransom money as a bounty.
