Four New Netflix Arrivals You Need To Watch This Weekend

mariemadden

The weekend is finally on the horizon and our plans involve PJs, the couch and an absolute shitload of unhealthy food.

Of course, you can’t have a couchfest without some quality telly and some great shows have just landed on Netflix in time to keep us entertained.

From nature docs to legal drama, this should have you covered…

Chasing Coral (14 July)

Having premiered at this year’s Sundance Festival, Chasing Coral taps into the collective will and wisdom of an ad
man, a self-proclaimed coral nerd, top-notch camera designers, and
renowned marine biologists as they invent the first time-lapse camera
to record bleaching events as they happen.

Unfortunately, the effort
is anything but simple, and the team doggedly battles technical
malfunctions and the force of nature in pursuit of their golden
fleece: documenting the indisputable and tragic transformation below
the waves.

To The Bone (14 July)

Ellen is an unruly, 20-year-old anorexic girl who spent the better
part of her teenage years being shepherded through various recovery
programs, only to find herself several pounds lighter every time.
Determined to find a solution, her dysfunctional family agrees to
send her to a group home for youths, which is led by a
non-traditional doctor.

Surprised by the unusual rules, and charmed
by her fellow patient, Ellen has to discover for herself how to
confront her addiction and attempt self-acceptance, in order to stand
a chance against her demons.

Friends From College (14 July)

A group of friends from Harvard are facing down their 40s. With interwoven and often complicated relationships with one another, Friends From College is a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic entanglements and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past.

Suits – Season 6 & Season 7

The last season of the popular legal drama, starring Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle, is now available on Netflix. The even better news for fans is that the new Season 7  episodes will be available each Thursday night, dropping an hour after they are screened in the US. The first is available tonight!
