It’s a shame that Electric Picnic and All-Ireland finals are on around the same period of the year.

Because instead of being annoyed by one constant stream of ‘like and share’ posts, you now have to put up with double the amount.

The cycle of a ‘like and share’ post is always the same.

You like and share 17 posts about All-Ireland Football Final tickets, message the page to see if they’ve announced the winner and then after a week moan about how ‘you never win these competitions.’

Gardaí confirmed that they had “assisted the District Drug Unit in carrying out a search of a house in Waterford City as a result of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of Controlled Drugs in the Waterford area.”

“A Large quantity of cannabis plants were seized along with significant quantity of harvested cannabis.

“The value of drugs seized is estimated to be approx. €30,000. One male (30s) was arrested and Detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Waterford Garda Station.

“He was later released pending file now to DPP. Investigations are on going,” the Gardaí confirmed.

They attached pictures of the cannabis seized with the post and some genius immediately commented underneath it saying “liked and shared thanks for the chance hope I win never win these things.”

But the Gardaí had the last laugh.
