Gardaí Discover Fake Driving Licence Due To Uniquely Irish Giveaway

Anyone who has a fada in their name will be familiar with the daily struggles that can occur. From ordering a coffee to booking a table, the pesky accents can often lead to general confusion when dealing with others.

Luckily, the Gardaí are on the ball and managed to use their knowledge of fadas to discover a fake driving licence in Cashel. After stopping a car which had tax out of date since 2015, the driver was then asked to produce a licence. The problem? The fadas in the name were facing the wrong way.

This particular outlaw must have forgotten their primary school Gaeilge. The car has now been seized and the driver will appear in court.
