If you love scaring the absolute bejaysus out of yourself, or you have nerves of steel (liar), then this new horror series on Netflix is for you.
The Haunting of Hill House was released on Friday and so far people are raving about it.
The show follows a group of siblings that grew up in what became one of the most haunted houses in the country and are forced back to the house because of a family tragedy.
The series is a loose adaption of the original 1959 gothic horror book by Shirley Jackson.
While the Netflix version has a slightly different plot, the method of using terror rather than horror to elicit emotion from the audience is still used in the latest version.
Basically, prepare to shit yourself.
Y’all can sleep on #HauntingofHillHouse all you want but that shit messed me up mentally, emotionally, it made me feel things, I was creeped out going to bed last night, it made me want to cry. It’s a masterpiece. THATS the tea

As a deaf person, i am not scared easily, lacking sound cues. #HauntingofHillHouse is freaking the CRAP out of me. I have fallen off my Airwalk machine twice and shouted “What the actual FUCK” at the screen. Brava, guys.????????????????

I have made a critical error: I have continued to watch #HauntingofHillHouse after dark, and uh, I am seriously regretting it. pic.twitter.com/E8qnTzqQTs

Are you brave enough to watch it in the dark with all the lights turned off?
