In Need Of Weekend Plans? Book A Ticket To This Donegal Musical Production Of Oliver!

Sarah Finnan

The Donegal Youth Musical Theatre (DYMT) is putting its own spin on the ever-popular Oliver! Set in the Dublin of today, this production hones in on issues such as homelessness and domestic abuse, all very relevant to a modern audience.

Following on from the roaring success of last year’s award-winning Jesus Christ Superstar, which had a female Judas, the production has also chosen to subvert the traditional gender roles, appointing Sadbh Breathnach as the Artful Dodger.

The talented cast, ranging in age from 10 to 24, have been put through their paces over a three-week intensive rehearsal period. Working under the watchful eye of DYMT Artistic Director and West End Director, Séimí Campbell, audiences will surely be left asking for more!

Only running until this Saturday, make sure to grab a ticket before it’s too late. Booking and more information can be found at angrianan.com.
