Irish Women Share Harrowing Domestic Abuse Stories In New RTÉ Documentary

A new RTÉ documentary is highlighting the scale of domestic abuse in Ireland. UPFRONT: Domestic Abuse is exclusive to RTÉ Player and features the physical, psychological and emotional abuse suffered by people around the country at the hands of those closest to them.

Fronted by reporter Della Kilroy, the two-part documentary is available to watch on the player now.

The clip below gives a real insight into how domestic abuse can be covered up or disguised as ‘messing’ as the interviewee puts it.

The programme serves a timely reminder of what a lot of people in Ireland are going through and while it is an uncomfortable watch at times, the issue is far too serious to not be highlighted in this way.
