Love Island

ITV has just confirmed that Love Island 2021 will definitely go ahead this summer.

Today is a good day for reality TV show aficionados as ITV has just confirmed that Love Island will return to our screens this summer.

Cancelled last year amidst ongoing public health concerns, filming was unable to go ahead despite organisers pushing for the series to continue as normal. Revealing that there are already a number of precautions in place to ensure that this year is different, ITV has promised the upcoming season will be full of “twists and turns”.

Revealing a bumper schedule of things to come, ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment Kevin Lygo commented that “there’s so much to look forward to”.

Raising questions as to what structure the show will take in the future, Iain Stirling – best known as being the voiceover extraordinaire for the series – previously hinted that the show could relocate to see it go ahead. No specific details have been revealed as of yet though so we’ll just have to wait and see if that will be the case.

If all else fails, Jedward have made calls for an Irish version to be filmed on the Aran Islands which sounds like a pretty great idea to us.
