Billed as another Love Island type reality dating show, The Cabins hopes to fill the void that the absence of competing shows has left behind this year.
Hard to believe that we were settling in for the winter edition of Love Island this time last year, isn’t it? A lot has happened in the space of the year – understatement of the century I know – and while it looked like reality shows would be taking a backseat for the foreseeable, ITV2’s new series is here to prove otherwise.
Hitting TV screens for the first time later today, the programme is called The Cabins and is essentially another version of the tried and tested dating show we all claim to hate but secretly love.
Already in the running to be our first TV series binge of the year, the programme will follow 12 different contestants as they spend 24 hours in a remote log cabin in the English countryside – after which they’ll be given the choice to stay or check out.

Allowed to go ahead with thanks to rigorous Covid-19 protocols, all contestants were required to isolate in a hotel prior to entering the cabin with station officials also confirming that crew wore face masks while carrying out filming for the show.

Tune in to ITV2 tonight at 9pm to catch all the action.
