This Week’s Jam-Packed Late Late Line-Up Could Easily Be The Best Of 2018

James Fenton

Not a bad aul line-up at all, at all. The penultimate pre-Christmas Late Late Show guest list has been revealed by RTÉ and it includes two people who have played their part in giving Ireland some of its fondest memories.

Chatting to Ryan will be Olympic silver medalist and bonafide Irish legend Sonia O’Sullivan who will be joined by her daughter Sophie. The pair will be talking about Sophie’s success at the European Under 18 Championships earlier this year and her ambitions to follow in her legendary mother’s footsteps.

Sonia won’t be the only ’90s sporting hero on the show as former Republic Of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino will also be making an appearance. Tony will be reflecting on his times as a key member of Jack’s Army as well as a recent health scare which saw him undergo an operation to remove a tumour.

Not only that, Snow Patrol will be performing fresh off the back of announcing a major gig at Malahide Castle next year. The lads will also be speaking about life on tour and their new album Wildness.

A jam-packed show will also feature Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch and singer Anne-Marie while comedy will be provided by Jason Byrne and Pat Shortt.

Worth staying in for, wouldn’t you agree? Well, worth pressing the record button for at least.

The Late Late Show gets underway on RTÉ 1 on Friday at 9.35pm.
