Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling have confirmed that they'll appear on the 2020 series of Celebrity Gogglebox.
Gogglebox is one of those programmes where you watch it and think 'Hey, I could do that'. Binge-watch telly and give a running commentary throughout? Easy. And while yes, that's true in theory, not everyone is necessarily as funny as they think they are and there are very few people who could manage to hook audiences into listening to what they have to say. Scarlett Moffatt managed to win people over back in her day, and we reckon Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling will have the same effect.
Already with quite a loyal fan base, the Love Island host and voiceover extraordinaire have signed on for the new series which kicks off on Channel 4 on June 5th.
Confirming the news on Instagram, The Whitmore wrote:
"New Gogglebox coming soon @channel4 (I'm in charge of the remote as you can see).
Even Laura's beloved pooch Mick made the pic so no doubt he'll feature in a few of the episodes. Iain posted the same snap to his own Instagram account adding: "It's been a lifelong dream of mine to watch tele, on tele. Thank you for welcoming Laura and I into the family. New series starts June 5th."
Other celebs also named for a slot on Celebrity Gogglebox include former X-Factor contestant Rylan Clark-Neal who will return alongside his mother Linda, Stacey Soloman and boyfriend Joe Swash as well as The Circle star Woody Cook with his mam Zoe Ball.
