There’s An Open Casting Call To Play Liam Gallagher In New Film

Kiara Keane

Fancy playing Liam Gallagher in the new Alan McGee biopic?

The production team behind the upcoming Creation Stories film has put out an open casting call looking for someone to play the Oasis frontman.

But be warned – they’re ‘looking for far more than just a haircut and a parka’.

The biopic will tell the story of Creation Records boss Alan McGee (played by Ewen Bremner), with Danny Boyle serving as executive producer and a screenplay written by Irvine Welsh.

The casting call reads, ‘Do you have swagger? Do you have the look? Do you have the voice? We are looking for far more than just a haircut and a parka.’

They’re looking for a male aged between 18 and 23, and potential actors are asked to send a self-taped audition of themselves doing the dialogue from this video from 0:47 onwards.

You’ve got until 6pm on Friday, May 31 to get your audition tape in to [email protected].

Alan McGee previously told NME, “It’s like ‘Trainspotting does Creation’, if you can get into that concept.”

Meanwhile, Liam’s side of the story will be also told this summer when his film As It Was hits cinema screens on June 6.
