Liam Neeson just did the loveliest thing for frontline nursing staff

Sarah Finnan

Liam Neeson just proved that our suspicions about him were right – he really is as sound as he seems.

Over in Australia to film his next project Backlight, the Irish actor made sure to recognise the efforts of those working on the frontlines – dropping in a bouquet of flowers to nursing staff at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Expressing his gratitude for their hard work over the past few months, the flowers were accompanied by a short note from the man himself.

“To all you lovely Aussie and Irish nurses. Thinking of you all. Much love and respect, Liam Neeson.”

Thanking Liam for the generous gesture, the team admitted that they were a little starstruck by the whole thing. Sharing two photos of the beautiful flowers, a post on the Royal Melbourne Facebook page reads:

“I will find you…and I will…treat you.

“Liam Neeson is filming a movie in Melbourne and was kind enough to send in some flowers to our Acute Medical Unit, which was a COVID-19 ward this year.

“Thanks Liam, from all of us starstruck at RMH!”

And what a lovely bunch they are…. the flowers too.
