Lidl is on the hunt for the country’s next top model, launching a competition to find a ‘fan’ who will be featured in an upcoming campaign for the grocery store’s famous Lidl merch.
The branded Lidl merch first grabbed public attention back in July when shoppers spotted a pair of blue and yellow runners complete with the Lidl logo in store. Eternally proud of her county colours, my mother described them as “Longford runners”… not sure that’s quite what they are but we’ll go with it.
Selling out in record time, customers made countless calls for more stock to drop and it seems that the powers that be have listened, confirming that ‘the rumours are true’ and more Lidl merch is on the way.
‘Our much awaited Lidl merch blew up a few months ago and we’re excited to announce it’s dropping later this year and we need a real Lidl fan to help show it off! The winning customer will be featured wearing the gear on our social media channels, in our famous weekly leaflet AND on a billboard – take that, Kendall Jenner.’
