The new live-action Lion King trailer dropped last night and it’s been getting glowing reviews from fans so far.
The remake stars Donald Glover as Simba and Beyoncé as Nala, while Bill Eichner and Seth Rogen will play Timon and Pumba.
As well as that, James Earl Jones will be returning to his role as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor will star as the evil Scar and Eric Andre will play Ed the Hyena.
Following the trailer’s release, a lot of people have started pointing out that it’s shot-for-shot almost the exact same as scenes from the 1994 original film.

The movie podcast Lights, Camera, Pod shared a side-by-side comparison video of both trailers highlighting the similarities on Twitter earlier today and it’s since gone insanely viral.
And while the trailer has been getting great reviews, the comparison video has been dividing fans for being so similar to its 1994 original.
The Lion King will be released in cinemas on July 19, 2019 and you can watch the new teaser trailer here:
