Love Island fans were living for the drama on Twitter last night

Is Greg O’Shea starting beef with his former Love Island flame? Some seem to think so and judging by his recent Twitter activity, it’s probably not the most out-there claim.

Love Island fans were LIVING for the drama on Twitter last night when they spotted a frosty online exchange between two of the show’s former winners – namely Amber Gill and Ireland’s own Greg O’Shea. It all went down after Amber, one half of the 2019 summer Love Island winning couple (Greg being the other winner) tweeted to say:

“Can you believe it’s been one whole year since I won Love Island”

A salty statement in and of itself and one that clearly ruffled a few feathers as Greg decided to reply – responding with a simple “congrats”… a somewhat out of character move on his part some might say.

However, as Fionnuala Jay pointed out on her Instagram stories (as an unofficial Love Island correspondent, I trust her judgement on all things regarding the villa), this was a missed opportunity on Greg’s part given that he didn’t go straight for the mic drop moment and quote ex-islander Shaughna Phillips. See below for context (skip to 2:21).
