As a fellow Longford woman, I may be a little bit biased here, but Maura Higgins blowing up at Tom Walker is possibly one of my favourite Love Island TV moments to date.
Need a reminder of what went down? The whole thing is a bit convoluted, but basically, Maura got a text to say that she had won herself a night in the famous villa hideaway. Allowed to bring one boy of her choosing with her, Maura asked Tom, who she was coupled up with at the time, to accompany her. But – and this is where things really take a turn – Tom royally screwed up when something he said rubbed Maura up the wrong way… swiftly prompting all hell to break loose.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the plot thickens once again as Tom Walker has baffled fans with his latest Instagram post – announcing to the world that he has wed his long-term girlfriend of 10 years. Yes… 10 years.
“So… We got married. After a couple of crazy years we decided to start the year off with a bit of positivity. Last weekend, 2.1.21 we tied the knot COVID style.
We’ve been a long-distance couple, on and off for almost 10 years now! Life experiences, all the challenges of the past few years and then plenty of thinking time, has made me realise that there is only one person I’d like to spend the rest of my life with. So we made the decision not to waste anymore time and commit to spending rest of our lives together.
“Thanks Little One for saying yes and becoming my Wife, I can’t believe how lucky I am to have found you! When you know, you know and I know.”

Is it just us, or does that timeline not add up somehow? Presumably, they were ‘off’ when he was in the villa.
