Ex-Love Island star Anna Vakili has gone back to her roots, returning to work as a pharmacist.

Fans of the reality dating show Love Island will remember islander  Anna Vakili, who was a contestant on the show last summer. Part of the original group to enter the villa, the 29-year-old worked as a pharmacist in London prior to going on the show.

Participants don’t usually return to their day jobs once leaving the villa, however, Anna has made the decision to go back to work in a pharmacy. Following the lead of another ex-islander, Dr Alex George, Anna is stepping up to the plate amid the global coronavirus pandemic facing the world.

Sharing a photo of herself wearing a face mask and gloves, Anna captioned the pic:

“First day back working as a Pharmacist since leaving Love Island. It’s been almost a whole year! Wow can’t believe how fast it’s gone. Wasn’t really planning on registering yet but with everything that’s going on it felt wrong not to. We can all fight this together. Stay safe. Stay home. Save lives.”

A number of her Love Island co-stars including Amber Gill, Molly Mae Hague and Francesca Allen showed their support in the comments. Along with friend Amy Hart who wrote:

“I am so proud of you xxxxxx”
