Ronald McDonald House Charities is hosting a charity teddy bear’s picnic and it’s the perfect excuse to get baking and have an at-home feast in your back garden.
As with most other events, McDonald’s has been forced to cancel many of their upcoming charity fundraisers including a charity ball and a golf tournament, both of which usually help to drum up donations for Ronald McDonald House.
Pivoting plans to organise an alternative (social distancing-friendly) event to help, they’ve announced plans for a teddy bear’s picnic that you can join and enjoy from the comfort of your very own garden.
Inviting people to join Barróg and friends, the idea is to gather your family and all your fluffy pals and have a feast – all for a good cause of course. Called the Barróg & friends picnic, you can pick up your own cuddly Barróg bunny toy on the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) website.
Register for the event and you’ll receive a picnic pack which comes complete with a garden games guide, a colouring competition sheet, a selfie frame and even a picture treasure hunt. Not to mention loads of menu suggestions and a special message from Barróg. And with ‘Barróg’ translating as ‘hug’, sending one to someone you miss would be the perfect substitute for an in-real-life hug.
All proceeds will go directly to supporting the families of sick children staying at The Ronald McDonald House.
