You can’t beat a good documentary of a Monday evening and let’s face it, they don’t come much more compelling than when Louis Theroux is pulling the strings.
The British filmmaker returns to RTÉ tonight with Sex Trafficking In Houston, the second of his 2017 trilogy Dark States, which looked at various social issues blighting communities in the United States.
In tonight’s episode, Louis explores the sex trade in Houston and examines how the Texan city has become a major centre for people trafficking. He will meet prostitutes, pimps and police officers and learn of the abusive arrangements that are characteristic of the sex trade. Dark States: Sex Trafficking In Houston gets underway tonight on RTÉ 2 at 10.35pm.
Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something to watch a bit earlier, tonight’s Livin’ With Lucy looks like it’ll be a good one as Lucy Kennedy moves in with Aslan frontman and Irish musical legend Christy Dignam. It starts on Virgin Media One at 9pm and you can get a taster in the below clip.
