Yorke and Cole, Xavi and Iniesta, Micah Richards and Roy Keane – just some of the best double acts in the history of football.
Keane has long been known for taking no prisoners but it turns out that all it took was Micah Richards’ infectious personality to melt the Corkman’s ice-cold demeanour. The pair have been thick as thieves since they joined up as Sky Sports pundits, with fans delighting in on-screen bickering and blossoming bromance.
The new-found friendship means that Micah has the inside track on Roy’s career moves, or so he would have us believe anyway. Having previously joked that himself and Keane would be heading to Celtic to form a dynamic manager/kitman duo, Richards took advantage of increasing speculation linking Roy to the Glasgow club today.
Posting a well-worn “it’s happening” gif from The US Office, Richards’ followers were sent into a frenzy at the thoughts of the pair rocking up to Scotland together….

However the former England defender later clarified (with his tongue firmly placed in his cheek) that he had ‘just seen the comments below this post. Afraid I wouldn’t have any idea on Roy, I always get ‘this call can’t be connected’ whenever I try to ring him. Strange. Was just excited to have the England team back tonight.’

Well, Micah can now watch England take on San Marino safe in the knowledge that he has successfully stirred the sh*t among Celtic fans. Just wait until Roy gets his hands on him.
