WATCH: 'Louis Theroux: My Scientology Movie' Has Gotten Its First Official Trailer

"Four hours of the same car being behind you, it starts to look a bit suspicious..."

Fans of Louis Theroux rejoice – the trailer for My Scientology Movie has finally arrived.

Theroux has been trying to make the documentary about the controversial religion for more than 10 years, hoping to tell its story with nuance and understanding, but he was denied access at every turn.

In the end, the documentarian made the film using reenactments of pivotal moments in the church's history.

During the making of the documentary, Theroux found himself followed by Scientologist film crews who were making their own movie about him.

The above trailer will give you a taste of what to expect from the film. Louis Theroux: My Scientology Movie will be in cinemas for a limited time from September 8.
