Four Of The Planet’s Biggest Music Acts Announced for New Open Air Event In Ireland

Summer In The City is Ireland’s newest and most exciting open air event coming to RDS Dublin. It will run over two days featuring Ireland’s band of the year Picture This and the hottest artist producers in the world, The Chainsmokers (‘Something Just Like This’, ‘Paris’)

Picture This, will perform on Saturday, 23 June along with Clean Bandit (‘Rather Be’, ‘Rockabye’), JP Cooper and Little Hours. The following day, Sunday 24 June, producer duo The Chainsmokers will take to the stage alongside pop sensation Rita Ora.

The Irish duo have had a phenomenal year with the release of their self-titled album storming into the charts at #1, the highest charting entry for a debut artist this year. Already certified platinum, the album has dominated the Top Five album charts since its release.  

The band have just come off the back of a sold-out UK and Ireland tour, including two dates at 3Arena Dublin.  

It’s also great to see another Irish duo, Donegal’s Little Hours, on the big stage. The Irish music scene is strong, folks.

This year’s MTV EMA host Rita Ora will be joining the line-up on Sunday. Anywhere is the first single of her highly anticipated album, set for release next year. Anywhere has gone straight to #1 in the iTunes chart.
