Kodaline Announce Open Air Concert At Malahide Castle For Summer 2018

Darragh Berry

Exciting times because Kodaline have announced on Tuesday that they will headline a show at Malahide Castle on Friday 8 June, subject to licence.

Special guests for the show are yet to be announced and tickets start from €49.90 including booking fee and go on sale THIS Friday 15 December at 9am.

Singles ‘Brother’ and ‘Ready To Change’ have given us a taster of their new album (set to be released in 2018) and no doubt it will follow in the footsteps of their second album ‘Coming Up for Air’ which reached no 1 in Ireland and top 5 in various other territories.

Kodaline’s debut album, ‘In A Perfect World’ has sold over a million copies worldwide and imprinted itself on the nation’s consciousness with streaming figures well into the 100s of millions.

On Vevo the band’s videos have had over 200 million views, and they have sold over a million singles.

Kodaline played a sold-out show in Marlay Park in the July of 2016 and entertained the 40,000 strong crowd with renditions of ‘All I Want’, ‘One Day’, ‘Love Will Set You Free’ and ‘Ready’ to name but a few.

That day, they were joined by Jess Glynne and Walking On Cars and in 2014, they opened a concert in Marlay Park for Kings Of Leon, so you just know whenever Kodaline are in town, it’s going to be a big one.

Here’s hoping we wake up with a ticket in our stocking…
