Loah And Bantham Have Released A New Summer Banger And You Need To Hear It

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

The Irish music scene is absoloutely killin’ it right now in every genre you could imagine.

There’s something so special about flicking through your Spotify and seeing so many Irish artists in some of the top playlists on the app.

Here are some new tunes that you really need to check out this week:

Fia Moon

Fia Moon is an Irish singer/songwriter whose songs are super soulful, honest and heartfelt.

The singer trained clasically and has been singing since she was a child. During her college years, she began to do gigs on the side and managed to build up a repuatation.

Since her debut ‘The Fall”, she has singed to an independent record label and has been making waves in the industry.

She has been named as one to watch by the Official UK Charts company.

Loah

Loah and Bantum have collaborated again and of course, this tune is an absoloute banger.

This boppy summer tune is exactly what you want to be playing while you drive to the beach with your mates or during a roadtrip cross-country with bae.

It’s groovey, disco sounds are giving us all of the good vibes.

Loah is one to watch this year. The Irish/Sierra Leonean artist grew up in Kildare and spent some time in West Africa which opened her mind to two different cultures.

She studied in The Royal College Of Surgeons and went on to work as a pharmacist before realising music was her true path. This realisation occured around the time that she was helping friend Hozier write his hit ‘Someone New’.

Shiv

This Dublin artist made her single debut this week and it has been getting great traction.

Shiv might look familiar to you as she first appeared on the popular Irish TV Show ‘First Dates’ last year. During her date she spoke about her passion for music.

Her single ‘Here’ is really quite stunning. The mellow beats along with her unique voice makes this tune very worthy of a spot on this list.

I predict big things for this girl.

The Scratch

As a lover of the traditional side to Irish music, I’m itching to tell you about The Scratch.

These guys are a pop-trad band that have one of the most unique sounds I’ve come across in the Irish charts. Originating from Dublin and Cork, this four-piece band produce serious feel good tunes with some hilarious Irish-isms throughout.

They released a brand new track two days ago and I haven’t stop listening to it.

Can I please hang with these guys?

Eve Belle

Eve Belle is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from the hills of Donegal. The native Irish speaker has released music in both English and Irish that will make your soul melt.

Signed to the same independent label as hozier and Wyvern Lingo, Rubyworks, and having Coldplay declare her cover of Violet Hill as the definitive version, Eve Belle is deffo one to watch over the coming years.

Her sound is easy, humble and comforting.

She released a brand new track this week called “Out Of Town”:
