One of the country's most loved bands has announced their plans to release a studio album before the end of the year with new music and we're absolutely buzzing for it.
Hands up who absolutely blared Snow Patrol's tunes as a teen? It's great news for you so, as the Northern Irish lads are back in the studio.
They haven't released an LP since 2011’s ‘Fallen Empires’, so the past six years has been a tough time of Snow Patrol replays and re-watches of that Grey's Anatomy episode featuring 'Chasing Cars' that made us bawl our eyes out every time (Gary Lightbody's voice set to the scene of Denny dying - can't deal.)
Over the weekend though, they shared the news that album seven is in the works.
Gary Lightbody said in an Instagram post:
"For the folks asking about the new snow patrol album, #SP7, here’s the news. we had a breakthrough recording session in Feb and are on the home straight. The awesome jacknife lee is in the producer’s chair as usual and we have more time with him in the studio in may/june and will be finished at the end of June.
"Hopefully that gives us plenty of time to bring the album out this year. that is the plan. Plans are fallible but we’ll damn well try our best.”
V exciting news - literally the entire country loved this rock band SO much.
