The voice of an angel.
Sinead O’Connor kicked off her Irish tour last night with an intimate performance out west.
Settling into the Róisin Dubh, Galway’s legendary live music venue, she sent chills down listeners’ spines and made more than a few hairs stand up on end.
One of the country’s greatest female singers, seeing her perform in person is nothing short of a religious experience.
Covering songs such as Hozier’s Take Me to Church, Hold Back The Night and the iconic Nothing Compares 2 U, it was her haunting rendition of Hold Back The Night that had the audience mesmerised.

The performance went down a storm, with one attendee describing her as “the finest Irish singer of her generation”.
The one and only Sinead O'Connor.
