Netflix has just saved the day yet again by renewing another cult favourite show.
The TV streaming giant announced that it would be bringing back Designated Survivor, which was unexpectedly cancelled earlier this year.
The political drama starring Kiefer Sutherland was cancelled by ABC after just two seasons, much to the disappointment of fans.
But now it’s been confirmed that the hit show will be back with the original cast for another 10 episodes which will debut in 2019.
The new run will see Kiefer Sutherland’s character, President Kirkman, deal with fake news and campaigning for re-election.
Sutherland said he was “thrilled” to be back for another season, adding:
“I believe this format will allow us to continue to delve deeply into storylines and issues concerning the American electorate that were not previously possible.”
