We’ve all become steadily addicted to Netflix over the past few years and the streaming service has now released some very interesting insights into our viewing habits.

Based on six months of data, the company has discovered that there are definite trends around what people watch at specific times of the day – and they may surprise you.

Many Netflix users choose to watch comedy series from 6am in the morning, including shows like The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and How I Met Your Mother, but have moved on to dramas by lunchtime including Mad Men and Orange Is The New Black.

It’s a mixed bag when it comes to evenings, with a 27% increase in the number of people watching thrillers like Breaking Bad and Stranger Things come 9pm.

However, it seems that we all want to go to sleep on a positive note as we’re more likely to watch comedies like It’s Always Sunny In Philidelphia and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt after 11pm.

Interestingly, 15% of all streaming on Netflix takes place between midnight and 6am, with a 24% increase in the number of people watching documentaries like Chef’s Table and Making A Murderer at this time.
