Netflix Has Revealed The Shows Irish People Binged On The Most In 2018

James Fenton

The year is drawing to a close which means we’re about to be inundated with a wave of ‘most popular x,y and z’s of 2018’ lists.

One which is always interesting is the annual Netflix lists which give us an insight into the Irish telly-watching psyche. The streaming service has revealed its 2018 On Netflix Ireland review and it seems we haven’t lost our love for a good scare.

In the category of Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Psychological Thrillers We Raced Through in 2018, jumpy horror series The Haunting Of Hill House came out on top followed by The Rain, Lost In Space, Altered Carbon and Maniac.

We haven’t lost our grá for an old-fashioned true crime series either and perhaps unsurprisingly, Making A Murderer 2 leads the way in this field followed by Girls Incarcerated, The Staircase, Evil Genius and Drug Lords.

Globally, the top three films we fell in love with this year were The Kissing Booth, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and Roxanne Roxanne.

One of the most interested pieces of data is The Fab Five from Queer Eye saw their Instagram grow more than any other Netflix stars throughout the year. They were followed by Lana Condor from the aforementioned TATBILB.

Overall, it appears much that like every other year, ya can’t beat a bit of high-quality telly. Roll on 2019.
