As we head into Halloween weekend, there are quite a few spooky movies on the telly tonight…

The Prodigy – FilmFour – 9pm

A mother (Taylor Schilling) concerned about her young son’s disturbing behaviour thinks something supernatural may be affecting him.

White House Down – Virgin Media One – 9pm

While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman (Channing Tatum) springs into action to save his child and protect the president (Jamie Foxx) from a heavily armed group of paramilitary invaders.

Pet Sematary – FilmFour – 10.50pm

Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke) and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home.

Ghostbusters – E4 – 9pm

Following a ghost invasion of Manhattan, paranormal enthusiasts Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) and Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), and subway worker Patty Tolan (Lesley Jones) band together to stop the otherworldly threat.

A remake of the 1951 classic science fiction film about an alien visitor (Keanu Reeves) and his giant robot counterpart who visit Earth.

A young African-American (Daniel Kaluuya) visits his white girlfriend’s (Allison Williams) parents for the weekend, where his simmering uneasiness about their reception of him eventually reaches a boiling point.

United 93 – TG4 – 1.10am

A real-time account of the events on United Flight 93, one of the planes hijacked on September 11th, 2001 that crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania when passengers foiled the terrorist plot.

47 Meters Down – Channel 4 – 1.30am

Two sisters (Mandy Moore and Claire Holt) vacationing in Mexico are trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean. With less than an hour of oxygen left and great white sharks circling nearby, they must fight to survive.
