One Of The World’s Biggest Music Stars Will Be On The Late Late Tonight

James Fenton

Give your ma and your granny a text because you can rest assured that tonight’s headline Late Late Show guest will have been the object of at least one of their affections back in the day.

Veteran crooner Rod Stewart will be on Ryan Tubridy’s sofa to discuss his life and career in a pre-recorded interview. It won’t all be fun and games though as at one point Rod gets a little choked up when talking about his hero Joseph Mary Plunkett, as you can see in the below clip.

Also appearing on the show will be Katie Healy and David Nolan, two survivors of the 2015 Bataclan attack in Paris, for a chat which should be all the more poignant given the events in New Zealand earlier today. The pair will also talk about a life-changing diagnosis their young daughter received last December.

Colm O’Regan, the brains behind the Irish Mammies social media accounts will also be on as well as Keeva Delaney, a girl who has written a book to raise money for Cliona’s Foundation, and cervical cancer campaigner Laura Brennan.

Music will be provided by James Morrison and it all gets underway on RTÉ 1 tonight at 9.35pm.
