She’s arguably generated more sporting headlines than any of her Irish peers in 2021 and on Friday night, Rachael Blackmore will fill the nation in on her achievements.

The Late Late Show will welcome the Grand National-winning jockey on the back of a spring that saw her name jump off the back pages and onto the front. Rachael will speak to Ryan Tubridy about her recent successes and her career so far.

As well as that, Golden Globe-winning actress Sharon Stone will be on to talk about her ties with Northern Ireland through her friendship with the late peace activist Betty Williams. She will also speak about her health battles, including a brain bleed that she suffered back in 2001.

Meanwhile, Pieta House’s annual Darkness Into Light fundraising campaign will be highlighted, with Pieta clinical manager Leigh Kenny telling viewers why the suicide prevention charity’s services are in demand now more than ever.

All-Ireland-winning manager Jim McGuinness will speak about swapping GAA for soccer, while Irish country music star Sandy Kelly will be joined by her niece, Sandie Ellis, as they speak publicly together for the first time about the tragic death of Sandy’s sister Barbara.

Westmeath GAA star and former AFL player Ray Connellan, spoken word artist Malaki, and ultra-marathon runner Conor O’Keeffe will speak about their personal experiences with mental health pressures.

Finally, there will be a special musical performance from Pillow Queens of The Cranberries single When You’re Gone which will feature on a forthcoming album of covers of songs from The Cranberries in aid of Pieta House.

You can catch all of this on The Late Late Show from 9.35pm on Friday on RTÉ One.
