Seven Irish cinemas will hold a Q&A with David Attenborough this April

James Fenton

When it comes to matters of the planet, there aren’t many with more expertise than David Attenborough.

The affable nonagenarian has made his name as a trusted source of information on wildlife, the oceans and the ongoing climate crisis and he’s set to add another string to his TV bow with David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet this April.

To celebrate the release of the documentary, Ominplex has announced that it will be screened in seven cinemas across Ireland live from the world premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

It that’s not all, a Q&A with the man himself will be screened afterwards, allowing attendees to get a first-hand account of Attenborough’s views on state of the planet and what the future holds. The participating Omniplex cinemas are Rathmines in Dublin, Salthill in Galway, Mahonpoint in Cork, Dundonald in Belfast as well as Limerick, Lisburn and Newry.

David Attenborough: Life On Out Planet is described as a ‘powerful first- hand account of humanity’s impact on nature and a message of hope for future generations’ and you can nab your tickets for the screening on April 16 here.
