When it comes to live television, it’s basically inevitable that presenters will end up making one mistake or another at some point.

But even though Sharon Ní Bheoláin was faced with an incredibly irritating distraction live on air this evening she absolutely didn’t let it phase her.

The RTÉ newsreader was ambushed by an incredibly persistent fly that would not stop circling around her as she tried to continue on – and continue on she did.
Viewers were impressed to say the least and praised her for handling it like “a true pro”.
