Shonda Rhimes’ new show Inventing Anna has just dropped its trailer and premiere date

From the people behind Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and Bridgerton comes a wild new show, based on a true story.

The drama miniseries Inventing Anna dropped its first teaser last night. While the trailer gives little away, it does build a degree of tension as we watch Anna Delvey, played by Julia Garner (Ozark), enjoy a life of luxury as people around her speculate on just who is Anna Delvey. We have a feeling we’re about to find out.

Anna presents herself as a German heiress on Instagram, much loved in the New York social sphere. Turns out, she’s been stealing from her rich circle of friends, and a journalist (Anna Chlumsky) begins investigating her as she awaits trial. The logline of the series states: “Is Anna New York’s biggest con woman, or is she simply the new portrait of the American dream?” We can’t wait to see what the series deduces.

The shows also stars Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black), Katie Lowes (Scandal) and Alexis Floyd (The Bold Type). The series is inspired by the New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler.

The series airs on the 11th February 2022 on Netflix. Not even three months to go!
