Six great movies on TV for your Wednesday night in

This is definitely one of the best collections of movies on TV we’ve seen in some time.

This is a seriously impressive line-up of film for your evening on the couch!

Bad Times at the El Royale – FilmFour – 9pm

Early 1970s. Four strangers (Jon Hamm, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jeff Bridges) check in at the El Royale Hotel. The hotel is deserted, staffed by a single desk clerk. Some of the new guests’ reasons for being there are less than innocent and some are not who they appear to be.

Erin Brockovich – RTE One – 9.35pm

An unemployed single mother (Julia Roberts) becomes a legal assistant and almost single-handedly brings down a California power company accused of polluting a city’s water supply.

Terminator 2 – ITV4 – 10pm

A cyborg (Arnold Schwarzenegger) identical to the one who failed to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), must now protect her ten year old son, John Connor (Edward Furlong), from a more advanced and powerful cyborg (Robert Patrick).

There’s Something About Mary – Comedy Central – 10pm

A man (Ben Stiller) gets a chance to meet up with his dream girl (Cameron Diaz) from high school, even though his date with her back then was a complete disaster.

Wanted – ITV4 – 12.50am

A frustrated office worker (James McAvoy) discovers that he is the son of a professional assassin, and that he shares his father’s superhuman killing abilities. Co-stars Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman.

Anomalisa – FilmFour – 1.55am

A man (David Thewlis) crippled by the mundanity of his life experiences something out of the ordinary. Oscar-nominated animated movie by Charlie Kaufman.
