An astronaut (Matt Damon) becomes stranded on Mars after his team assume him dead, and must rely on his ingenuity to find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive and can survive until a potential rescue.

A Few Dollars More – ITV4 – 9pm

Two bounty hunters (Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef) with the same intentions team up to track down a Western outlaw.

American Made – FilmFour – 9pm

The story of Barry Seal (Tom Cruise), an American pilot who became a drug-runner for the CIA (led by Domhnall Gleeson) in the 1980s in a clandestine operation that would be exposed as the Iran-Contra Affair.

Journey’s End – BBC Four – 11.15pm

Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, it is the story of a group of British officers, led by the mentally disintegrating young officer Stanhope (Sam Claflin), as they await their fate.

Bullitt – ITV4 – 11.45pm

An all-guts, no-glory San Francisco cop (Steve McQueen) becomes determined to find the underworld kingpin that killed the witness in his protection.

The Drop – Channel 4 – 2.40am

Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) finds himself at the centre of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighbourhood’s past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living – no matter the cost.
