Take That reunion

Backstreet’s back Take That’s back, alright.

Yes, ladies and gents, it’s true… Take That will reform for one night and one night only (or rather one gig and one gig only) with all band members (bar one) signing up to the reunion.

Robbie famously quit Take That back in 1995, though he has reunited with his former band members on a few occasions since then including a stint on The X Factor back in 2018. However, while Robbie has agreed to the one-off gig this year band member Jason Orange will not be partaking.

Revealing the news on Instagram, the band wrote:

“We’ll be performing live from our homes to yours on the 29th May on the CompareTheMeerkat YouTube channel. Tune in for our only gig taking place this year. We can’t wait to see you there.”

Of course, the concert is in aid of a good cause, with the group raising money for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins and Crew Nation who work to support concert crews during the Covid-19 outbreak – two charities very close to the band’s heart.

It may not be the in-real-life reunion we’ve dreamed of but it’s welcome news nonetheless.
