As always, Dunmore East will be a popular spot this summer and if you’re heading down there, be sure to make a stop at East Pier.
Located by the pier in the Waterford seaside town, East Pier serves arguably the best fish and chips in Ireland (let us know where you’ve had better) with some amazing views over the harbour.
The best part is that they sell little bottles of Prosecco that are perfect for washing down your dinner. East Pier arrived next to the fish shop in Dunmore East back in 2019 and ever since locals and visitors alike have been queueing up to get their fix – quite literally.

On a summer’s evening, the line can sometimes snake down the hill but trust us, it’s worth it when you get to the top. It’s all done in a safe manner as well, in adherence with public health guidelines.

During the summer, East Pier is open from 4pm to 8.30pm from Monday to Thursday and from 1pm until 8.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
