Starbucks have always been a company that have been way ahead of the times when it comes to trends and today they are showing that again with the first roll out of their mobile ordering app. They already let you pay with your phone and that wildly successful feature is getting an upgrade today with users able to order drinks from their phones before they even arrive in the shop. They are able to skip the queue by ordering in advance and selecting a time to pick up their drink from the store. The bad news is this is only on iOS and available in Portland until the end of the year but it starts going global from Jan 2015 onwards and will be coming to Android then too.
